Well it's been a few months since Funcoms eagerly awaited MORPG hit the streets - amid various squabbles and problems at launch. The game is surviving well and picking up lots of new subscribers and hopefully it will have a long term future especially with the million or so who joined the game. The atmosphere in Age of Conan is excellent probably one of the best out there and this is probably due to the fact it has a strong storyline and lots of depth. When Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed greets you from the start of the game in his own friendly way you know you're in for a different experience.

But in many ways it's not so different from many other MMORPGs- yet again the games best points are overshadowed by the need to try and scavenge gold. We all know how tough it is to earn gold in many games but Age of Conan Gold is something else! Now I know Funcom have to keep us hooked on the game but one day these companies will find a better way of doing things than forcing it's players down the inscessant gold grinding path which we see in so many online games.

Grinding for Age of Conan Gold part of the game?

Now I've been here before with many other games - I've done the 6 hour solid stints of trying to farm gold and frankly the fun value fades pretty quickly. Same with Age of Conan - there are lots of good stuff to do - but trying to earn gold is not one of them. I didn't waste too much time here - I did think of buying some gold - although it sounded fairly safe you still can get banned and I am well aware that much of the gold sold from some sellers is from hacked accounts. It may be part of the game but grinding for gold is not in the game for it's gameplay merits - just to keep you subbed - simple as that.

So I didn't so what I did with WoW and spend hours and hours trying different methods - all I did was buy a couple of Age of Conan Gold Guides and see how the smart guys are making their money. Well it's early days for the game so I didn't find many of them available but luckily one guide was worth it's weight in Hyborean gold.

I have followed many of the methods and had success with all of them but some definitely worked better than others for. I think there's a certain amount you have to assess for yourself depending on the particular servers economy and which method to use.

It's all in this guide though and you'll get all the methods that the guys who are selling gold are using themselves. Why waste money and risk your account getting penalised when you can just copy the Age of Conan gold farmers.
