"Panasonic continues to produce exceptional TVs – and this sublime 32-inch HD-ready 1080p LCD is no exception......This is as good as flat-panel TVs get at present. "
"I've had this TV for about 2 weeks, it's brilliant. The Freeview is great, very sharp picture 99% of the time with a little breakup every now and then but we're in a poor reception area. We used a Freeview set top box before and couldn't get any channels except BBC and the shopping ones." - SquareeyesTerri -Rest of Review here- (37" Panasonic TX37LZD80)

SDTV - Standard Definition TV - on older and standard TVs - picture displayed from 576 lines.
HDTV - HIgh Definition TV - Like the Panasonic a new system designed to improve definition - uses approximately twice the number of lines to display more detail, colours, contrast etc.
HD Ready - means the TV has a minimum definition of 720 lines in order to receive and display a HD signal (720P or 1080I) (plus a HDMI input)
HD Ready 1080p (or Full HD) -usually means that the TV (like the "Panasonic TX32LZD80") has a high screen resolution of 1080 lines which means it can handle and display a 1080p signal and process it at 24 FPS.
Remember though the label doesn't mean everything - some Full HD LVD TVs are truly awful and are surpassed by much lower resolution LCD TVs.
