Bosch Rotak 37 Li

The Bosch Rotak 37 Li is the cordless version of the excellent Bosh range of rotary mowers. Simply put it has all the other excellent features of the other mowers in the range plus a Lithium battery so you don't need to dance with the power lead whilst cutting the lawn. The Bosch Rotak 37 Li has a cutting width of 37cms so sits in between the Rotak 34 and 40. If you're ever tried cordless mowers in the past you may be wary of trying this model but don't be !

Bosch Rotak 37 Li Assembly

The Bosch Rotak 37 is relatively easy to put together - the most difficult bit was the grass box which can be a little fiddly to get right but the whole thing should only took ten minutes or so. It's very easy to use and extremely lightweight - can be lifted up easily with one hand by most people. The battery pops out very easily and will fully charge in approximately an hour with its own supplied charger. When fully charged the mower will run for approximately 22 minutes on it's Lithium battery - this can vary slightly depending on how hard the mower is working longer grass etc. It's long enough to cut about 450 Sq m of a standard lawn.

Anyway on to the cutting - the Bosch Rotak 37 like the bigger version is simply a joy to use - the lawnmower is so light it is simple to push even on the lower cuts. When you are cutting all sorts of grass including wet and long grass it just feels like you are vacuuming your lawn. It is light and manouverable which makes it ideal for awkward shaped gardens

The Bosch Rotak 37 cuts really well - easily as good as much more expensive mowers - nice stripes and you'll probably find a strimmer redundant as the Rotak 37 has a little comb device which allows you to cut right up to the edges. . The grass collector works very well and compacts the grass to hold more although this means a little more effort to empty it.

Bosch Rotak 37 Li Cons

So what are the cons with the Bosch Rotak 37 Li- well I must admit there's not much wrong with it but I do find the grass level selector can be a little fiddly to adjust although some people find it quite simple.. The build quality is pretty good but it is definately mainly plastic so it will be interesting to see how it holds up. The mower is quite a bit more than the standard models like the Bosch Rotak 40 - you're paying the extra for the ease of cordless - which I have to say does make life much easier..

Overall no complaints - it is a superb mower - does what it's supposed to do quickly and simply. The Bosch Rotak 37 Li is really designed for a medium garden if you have a bigger space the Bosch Rotak 43 Li might be worth considering.

As for Amazon their delivery and service was excellent - the price was the by far the cheapest I could find and I didn't have to battle my way around the DIY centre - check out latest prices for Bosh Rotak 37 here.!
